How to remove Z-stage

Disconnecting everything to isolate Z-stage

• Z-stage encoder
• Z-stage control
  
• vacuum gauge cable
• ion pump HV supply cable
• MFRONT fan cable
• Chino (Temp sensor reading) RS232C (three cables)
• Chino - Cooler controller
  
• Cooler controller - cooler body
• MFRONT - MV cables
• MFRONT - CCD power supply
• Vacuum tubes
  

Preparation for detaching Z stage

1. insert cushions below Z stage
2. insert four jacks at each corner of the Z stage

Detaching Z stage

1. Jack-up to support Z stage
2. Remove all 10 screws
3. Slowly go down all jacks at once. Move the Z stage down to the surface of the next cushion.
4. Remove all jacks, and re-jack-up them to support Z stage at lower height.
5. Remove one cushion.
6. [repeat 3..5]
7. detach optical hood from the dewer.
8. [repeat 3..5]

Treatment of detached Z stage

1. Cover the CCD glass window
2. Protect all fragile connectors with bubble sheet/conductive form sheet
3. Cover all Z stage to prevent dew forming

For other equipments

1. Remove cooler controller
2. Remove CCD controller
3. Remove CCD power supply
4. Remove MV system
5. (option) Remove vacuum gauge reading
