Bias images and Dead Columns

The following image (upper) shows the typical bias images (1X1 binning) of chip1 (right) and chip2 (left). These images are shown as is (i.e., no image flips/rotation, or, vertical direction for Y and horizontal direction of X of the CCD coordinates). See a cartoon below (these two are shown at same orientation). As you can see, chip 1 has larger number of dead columns, especially near the optics axis and toward high Y regions. Note that there are some more weaker dead columns, i.e., not all dead columns can be seen in the following images.
